From misty coastal cliffs to majestic mountaintops, the enchanting region provides the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments and cherished memories. With its diverse blend of natural beauty and urban charm, Washington offers endless possibilities for couples seeking a truly extraordinary experience. There are tons of ideas for Pacific Northwest weddings. Whether it’s exchanging vows on a secluded beach, saying “I do” in a lush forest, or sharing a romantic dance beneath the stars, this region is a haven for lovebirds. Embrace the serenity of the Mount Rainier National Park. Be captivated by the stunning beauty of Crater Lake. Embark on a scenic drive along the legendary Pacific Coast Highway. This is the love story of Sarah and Cameron and their colorful Port Orchard backyard wedding.

Their First Meeting

These two met on Tinder. Not only was it a successful meet-up but their timing was fortuitous as well. They got together in the fall of 2019, right before Covid hit.

When life returned to normal again, Cameron took Sarah to Leavenworth. They stayed at the Sleeping Lady Resort, a secluded resort set in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. On the day of the proposal, the couple went snow shoeing, and got some hot chocolate. While they were enjoying their hot beverage, Cameron got out the ring and proposed.

Wildflower Wedding

Their wildflower themed wedding took place at their home in Port Orchard, WA. We utilized the nearby forest area and local beach park for the main pre-wedding photos, which allowed us to get the best of both worlds, water and wilderness. The best part about laidback backyard weddings is you can travel around to get different locations and gorgeous backdrops for photos!

The getting ready photos were taken inside the house. You can see a lovely photo of the couple hanging on a side wall in the couple’s bedroom in some of Sarah’s getting ready photos. The reception was held in their spacious yard under a big dome white tent, twinkly lights dangling from the ceiling, wooden dance floor set at the center of it all, ready for guests to shake a leg.

It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun, relaxing time for all the guests at the reception. The wedding was extra special because it was on Sarah and Cameron’s property. No doubt they will replay their wedding day memories for years to come.
